St Croix Island animal shelter facts

The small animal shelter on St. Croix- STX, (an American Virgin Island) handles more animals per capita than NYC and LA municipal shelters.The Islan shelter surrender rate is 10 times higher than in these cities and the majority of them are owned pets and not strays. Donations to them are tax deductible on the mainland!!
